The FX series electronic flow switches are the most reliable flow sensor available. The thermal dispersion principle of operation features no moving parts and provides an extremely reliable and repeatable switch for the most demanding industrial applications. With solid state design and 316L stainless steel or special alloy construction, end users are provided an extremely reliable instrument for any product including the most viscous or corrosive applications. Extremely low flow rates can be detected with rangeability up to 300:1. This rugged instrument is available with a wide variety of mounting options, including male threads, flanges and retractable probes for applications that require installation without draining the line. These switches are available with practically any probe length for larger lines and shorter probe lengths for use down to a ¾” pipe tee.

IX Series |

The IX series is in-line flow switch designed for industrial applications to provide a dependable and accurate set point in virtually all flow applications. The device operates by measuring a temperature differential between a heated and a reference temperature sensor. The principle of operation allows this flow switch to be used in practically all products regardless of viscosity or cleanliness. Extremely low flow rates, down to 1 ml/second, can be detected with a typical turn down ratio up to 300:1. This low flow sensitivity is perfect for many applications such as monitoring of chemical injection additives, or sample verification for gas chromatographs and analyzers. This in-line flow switch can be installed in lines ranging from ¾” pipe down to 1/8” tubing. For larger line sizes and higher flow rates please refer to our FX series switches.

The SX series sanitary flow switches sensor head have been constructed without moving parts and sanitary finishes that exceed the stringent requirements of the food, beverage, water and drug industries. Easy connect sanitary ferrules along with the 350 degree F probe temperature capability make the SX series flow switches perfect for industries with sanitary clean-in-place requirements. The sanitary flow switch is available in a number of ferrule sizes and insertion lengths with capabilities to distinguish flow rates down to 0.04 gallons/min in a 1” line. With simple and easy field calibration and rugged design this instrument provides reliable and repeatable set points in nearly all products. |

FM Series |

The FM series combines the rugged construction of our FX series with a general purpose enclosure to create a low cost and dependable alternative. The simple non mechanical design employs a temperature differential that is created between a heated and unheated temperature sensor to detect changes in flow rates. This differential is greatest at no flow and decreases with increasing flow providing the basis for a reliable and repeatable flow set point in any liquid, gas or slurry medium. Variable pipe thread sizes, insertion lengths and input voltages when combined with reliable performance make this flow switch the best choice for indoor installations.

The IM series in-line flow switches are designed to easily adapt to 1/4” tubing. Please refer to the IX or FX series for larger line sizes. These switches offer an extremely reliable and repeatable instrument for industrial process control and feature no moving parts exposed to the product being monitored. The device operates by measuring a temperature differential between a heated and a reference temperature sensor.
